Spicy coconut sauce of Death, and hot fruit pizza   Leave a comment

Whatever you do, don’t make this sauce. Trust me!

I was making a hot and spicy fruit pizza using my crust from the upside down pizza,

and I came up with this idea for the sauce.

In a small pan combine:

1 can coconut milk

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 spoonful salt

a shake of red pepper flakes

and between 1 and 3 squirts of sriracha hot sauce.

Bring to a boil, stirring to make sure the sugar is dissolved and then simmer on low for about 10-15 minutes of until thickened.

If you make the upside down pizza dough when you flip it, spread this sauce over the top and then place the fruit on that.  (no cheese necessary)

We served it with some grilled salmon and the pizza was good, especially with the mango, but the salmon was amazing with the sauce added. Then the next day we made chicken and salmon mango sandwiches using the sauce as a bread spread.  Unbelievable.

Either way, whatever you do, don’t make it.  It’s too addictive.
